Introduction: Patients with kinesiophobia (fear of movement) avoid physical activity. Avoidance of physical activity is linked to adverse cardiac events and thus needs to be targeted. However, there is no contemporary measurement tool to assess kinesiophobia in cardiac patients. Therefore data on prevalence of kinesiophobia are lacking in patients attending Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR). The Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia (TSK-NL Heart) is a 17 item questionnaire using a 4 point Likert scale (score range 17 to 68 points) to measurekinesiophobia).Purpose: To study the test-retest reliability and construct validity of the TSK-NL Heart and to assess the distribution of kinesiophobia in patients.Methods: Patients referred for CR were asked to fill in the TSK-NL Heart and the Cardiac Anxiety Questionnaire (CAQ). After five days patients filled in the TSK-NL Heart for the second time. Test-retest reliability of the TSK-NL Heart was assessed with the Interclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) and construct validity with the Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient (r) by correlating the TSK-NL Heart with the CAQ. The distribution of kinesiophobia in cardiac patients was assessed by determining the median score with range and quartiles (Q1-4) since there is no well validated cut off point of the TSK-NL Heart. Nevertheless, recent studies have used a score >37 as an indication for Kinesiophobia.Results: We included 116 patients in this study with a median age of 64, 5 years old who were mainly referred for CR after a PCI procedure for STEMI. Substantial agreement was found for the overall ICC of the TSK (ICC = 0.67; p = < 0.001). With regard to construct validity, a moderate strong correlation was found between the TSK and CAQ (r= 0.57; p = < 0.001). Scores of the TSK-NL Heart ranged from 26 to 56 points with a median patient score of 39.Q1 = 26-33, Q2 = 33-39, Q3 = 39-44, Q4 = 4456.Conclusion: The TSK-NL Heart has substantial test-retest reliability and a moderate to strong correlation with the CAQ suggesting construct validity. The scores on CAQ and the TSK indicate that cardiac anxiety and fear of movement is present in a large proportion of cardiac patients. Further research is necessary to investigate the impact of kinesiophobia on objectively measured physical activity and to develop treatment strategies for kinesiophobia in cardiac patients

Posterbijdrage conferentie EARLI SIG 14, 11-14 september 2018, Genève Although literature shows the important supportive role of experienced colleagues to stimulate novices’ workplace learning, the question of how this support is provided is usually answered in general terms (e.g. Mikkonen et al. 2017; Tynjälä 2008). Therefore, this study aims to explore how members of vocational communities, both individually and as a collective, enact specific pedagogic practices to contribute to novices’ learning. The systematic literature review that will be presented in the interactive poster session is the first study of a PhD project and provides an overview of situational pedagogic practices which attempt to support novices’ learning at the workplace.

The main challenge in this respect is the limited time and attention available to nurses during their work shifts. For this, we analysed the design and effectiveness of posters from earlier projects and used existing knowledge on probing for preliminary guidelines focused on design elements, context of placement, and fit with work process. We then designed a poster for gathering insights during nurses’ work shifts into their administrative tasks and perceived relevance. To evaluate, this table poster design was consecutively placed on three nursing units in a Dutch hospital. Activities of nurses with the poster and necessary interventions were analysed and used for further insights into the characteristics of effective posters for this specific target group. The research raised new questions about how best to elicit nurses’ participation during work shifts."

De opkomst van Chat GPT laat zien hoe AI ingrijpt in ons dagelijks leven en het onderwijs. Maar AI is meer dan Chat GPT: van zoekmachines tot de gezichtsherkenning in je telefoon: data en algoritmes veranderen de levens van onze studenten en hun toekomstige werkveld. Wat betekent dit voor de opleidingen in het HBO waar voor wij werken? Voor de inspiratie-sessie De maatschappelijke impact van AI tijdens het HU Onderwijsfestival 2023 hebben wij onze collega’s uitgenodigd om samen met ons mee te denken over de recente AI-ontwikkelingen. We keken niet alleen naar de technologie, maar juist ook naar de maatschappelijke impact en wat de kansen en bedreigingen van AI zijn voor een open, rechtvaardige en duurzame samenleving. Het gesprek voerde we met onze collega’s (zowel docenten als medewerkers van de diensten) aan de hand van drie casussen met. De verzamelde resultaten en inzichten van deze gesprekken zijn samengebracht op een speciaal ontwikkelde poster voor de workshop (zie figuur 1). We hebben deze inzichten gebundeld en hieronder zijn ze te lezen.

Posterpresentatie op conferentie Introductie: De afgelopen twee decennia is er geen communis opinio over de vraag of er sprake is van regionale factoren bij de constituentvolgorde in de Nederlandse Gebarentaal (NGT) (Coerts, 1994; Crasborn & De Wit, 2005; Vermeerbergen, Nijen Twilhaar & Van Herreweghe, 2013). Dit onderzoek levert een bijdrage aan de discussie over constituent-volgorde in het algemeen, doordat werd onderzocht of constituentvolgorde in NGT verschillend is voor eerste- en tweedetaalverwervers van de NGT. Methode: Er namen tien participanten (studenten NGT aan de Hogeschool Utrecht) deel: vijf dove moedertaalgebruikers en vijf horende studenten (leeftijd 19-30 jaar). Productie werd uitgelokt van drie verschillende typen enkelvoudige zinnen aan de hand van plaatjes (Volterra et al., 1984): 6 zinnen met omkeerbare constituenten, 6 zinnen met niet-omkeerbare constituenten en 6 locatieve zinnen. Alle 180 geproduceerde zinnen werden getranscribeerd en syntactisch (Subject, Object, Verbum) geanalyseerd. Resultaten: De moedertaalgebruikers gaven duidelijk de voorkeur aan de volgorde SVO of SVOV bij omkeerbare zinnen en SOV voor niet-omkeerbare zinnen. Voor de locatieve zinnen werd veel variatie gevonden, met een lichte voorkeur voor OSV. De T2-verwervers vertoonden veel variatie in de productie van omkeerbare zinnen zonder duidelijk patroon. Voor de niet-omkeerbare zinnen werd een lichte voorkeur voor SOV gevonden en wederom variatie. De loca-tieve zinnen werden voornamelijk uitgedrukt in de volgorde OSV. Conclusie: Deze studie toont aan dat de constituentvolgorde van moedertaalgebruikers en T2-verwervers verschillen. Opvallend is dat de T2-verwervers de neiging hebben de regel voor locatieve zinnen ‘Het grootste element voorop in de zin’ te overgeneraliseren naar het type niet-omkeerbare zin.

Abstract van Poster presentatie. Our student-interpreters feel ill prepared for assignments that involve sign supported speech (Anonymous, 2015). This is probably due to the fact that there is no single way of communicating in sign supported speech (Sutton-Spence & Woll, 1999). Our study investigates if and how we could prepare our students within a fouryear bachelor curriculum.

Balancing processes of external contingency and internal P-O fit is amongst the challenges facing innovative HE institutions today. This multi-level case study presents findings from a research & development program targeted to investigate and improve organisational-, leadership- and employees’ capacities to design, select and develop the human capital necessary to meet the strategic demands. The R&D project is framed as a collective organisational learning strategy with continuous alternation of research, design, pilots and implementation activities. Work in progress till 2020. At present 25 strategic personnel plans are developed for degree programs and other organizational units, each of which is tailored to the strategic horizon and market of that specific organisational entity. Furthermore, instrumentation to run a strategic personnel planning process for knowledge institutions is developed transferable to other institutions.
