The invited artist Ahn Kyuchul began his art practice with small sculptural works which demonstrated his resistance against social absurdities and conventional notions in art in mid- 1980’s. Expanding his oeuvre to conceptual objects and text works in 1990’s and to installation and public art works on an architectural level from 2000’s and onwards, Ahn has consistently explored alternative possibilities to contemporary art based on critical thinking. Displaying eight new works this exhibition casts fundamental questions on the meaning of this age and art, and invites the viewer’s participation and response. (Texts by a.o.
