Deluge marks the culmination of a three-year project and collaboration between Art Gene, Art Walk Projects (Edinburgh) and curator Anna-Rosja Haveman (University of Groningen). The project explores three tidal wetland ecosystems across three sites (Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria; Aberlady, East Lothian, and The Waddensea, Groningen, The Netherlands) with artists Dana Olărescu, Oscar Van Heek and Linde Ex.
Since 2022, each artist has taken time to explore and research their local saltmarsh ecosystem before travelling to the other two locations to make connections across all three places.
