My present career revolves around research and knowledge dissemination on the link between land use and transportation. My research focuses on public transport, road pricing, parking, urban (re)development and travel behavior. Currently I am appointed as Professor of Urban Intelligence at Breda University. The professorship focusses on integrated multimodal transport and the interaction with land use thereby using innovative approaches such as GPS tracking and BIG data analysis. These research activities build upon my PhD study at TU-Delft that focussed on the longitudinal assessment of the land-use and transportation interaction.
My ambition is not only to acquire new knowledge but also to share this knowledge with the upcoming professionals in this research field, hereby strengthening the connection between research, education and the relevant fields of activity.
