Veronica Bova currently holds a research assistant position in the Academy for Tourism at Breda University of Applied Sciences. She has gained experience through work in both academia and the tourism industry. She contributed to the writing of overtourism projects, and internal communication as key-driver for success. She was also involved in the writing of the Sustainable standard certification from Preferred by Nature NGO. 


She engaged with community-based tourism in Cambodia, working for CRTD NGO, to provide tourism education to vulnerable youth, and develop Community development tours with CRTours Social Enterprise. Her Master’s thesis was based on how to fight poverty through Community-based tourism. 


Veronica worked in the hospitality sector with receptionist role in Aalborg, Denmark, then she worked as tourism coordinator of Livoe in Denamrk, a nature preserved island.


She is active in regenerative agriculture, and holds the Permaculture Design Certificate.  

Currently, Veronica supports the communication of the projects within the Digital Transformation of Cultural Tourism and contributes to the research communication internally and externally.
