This study addresses the burgeoning global shortage of healthcare workers and the consequential overburdening of medical professionals, a challenge that is anticipated to intensify by 2030 [1]. It explores the adoption and perceptions of AI-powered mobile medical applications (MMAs) by physicians in the Netherlands, investigating whether doctors discuss or recommend these applications to patients and the frequency of their use in clinical practice. The research reveals a cautious but growing acceptance of MMAs among healthcare providers. Medical mobile applications, with a substantial part of IA-driven applications, are being recognized for their potential to alleviate workload. The findings suggest an emergent trust in AI-driven health technologies, underscored by recommendations from peers, yet tempered by concerns over data security and patient mental health, indicating a need for ongoing assessment and validation of these applications

In dit onderzoek heeft een student dat uitgewerkt in een uitgebreid beroepsproduct, bestaande uit een beslisboom om te beoordelen in welke risicocategorie een AI systeem voor de advocatuur valt en welke verplichten er per risicosysteem zijn. The latest IPCC Report (2022) provided by the UN shows us that, to guarantee a safe future for upcoming generations, we must change how we lead our lives on several levels. However, the increasing urgency to act and behave in a way that is not damaging the climate is bringing many psychological concerns to young generations. Worldwide reports are demonstrating how the issue of eco-anxiety is increasing daily, and how young people are feeling more hopeless than ever. Climate change has become a climate crisis, and individuals are experiencing pressure and fear incessantly (Marks et al., 2021). We, as Climate Streamers, have often found ourselves in this situation as well, but rather than freezing, we decided to take this challenge and think of solutions. Therefore, with the support of Breda University of Applied Sciences, the Performatory community, the BUas Startup Support Team, and outside mentors, we created Climate Streamers Foundation: a new youth-led non-profit organisation and a movement working towards a more inclusive and less polarised climate action. By working with leisure elements and a positive and appreciative approach, we want to give back hope, voice and power to the youth and inspire each other genuinely and sustainably. The purpose of this application is to allow us to elaborate a feasibility study concerning our MVP (minimum viable product), the card game, and boost the overall concept. We intend to implement the researched data to improve the design and sales management. The card game aims to stimulate appreciative conversations by giving space to players to express their opinions and personal stories and it is designed so everyone can play it, regardless of background and knowledge. After giving 200 games in production, we launched the card game in July 2022.
"My PD-trajectory aims to contribute to knowledge development in the domains of artacademic institutions, the queer/drag/HIV community, and advocacy as context for queer safety. Emphasis will be placed on how to write, document, design, and archive elements in order to shape language to actively comprehend each other’s affinities, aspirations, and propel visibility for emancipatory realities by creating empathy among differences. Incorporating the theorization of new terms such as “gift dragonomy” and “dragging as grafting” based on drag mothering knowledge will play an active role in preserving subcultural language while avoiding ‘representational fixity.”
How does a specific lung cancer become resistant towards medication.The occurrence of a chromosomal translocation resulting in a ROS1 gene fusion in lung cancer is relatively rare with around 1-2% of all cases. Both Dutch (Stichting Merels Wereld) and world-wide (ROS1ders) patient advocacy groups work hard to raise awareness and bring researchers together to close the knowledge gap on ROS1 driven oncogenesis and increase the optionsfor treatment. A notorious hurdle is to achieve durable responses due to development of resistance.Ongoing mutations occurring in tumour cells lead to a heterogeneous genomic landscape and will result in outgrowth of the fastest growing tumour cell population resistant to the applied drug. The currently known resistance mechanisms can be divided in on-target (i.e. mutations in the kinasedomain of ROS1) and off-target (providing ROS1 independent growth support) mechanisms. The currently available drugs target the ROS1-fusion gene positive lung cancer cells. In addition, some of the drugs also target cancer cells with specific ROS1 resistance mutations allowing effective sequentialtreatment upon disease progression. Selection of the most optimal treatment is largely a ‘trial and error’ approach. Patients and their doctors ask for better prediction of the most effective follow-up treatment upon development of resistance. Medical Life Science & Diagnostics can help to improvetreatment by developing cell culture models which mimic the situation in resistant tumour cells.Understanding the impact of specific mutations on disease behaviour will aid in the development of patient-tailored therapeutic approaches, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
