This paper assesses the impact of perceived HRM practices on organisational citizenship behaviour (OCB) and whether leader membership exchange (LMX) mediates this relationship. The required research data were retrieved from four different departments within a logistics and supply chain management organisation. The results show that there is a significant relationship between the HRM practices as perceived by a subordinate and their level of organisational citizenship behaviour. The relationship that subordinates have with their frontline manager (LMX) acts as a significant mediator. In the final section, of this paper the findings are discussed and recommendations for future research and practical implications are given.

Although the attention for neurodiversity in human resource management (HRM) is growing, neurodivergent individuals are still primarily supported from a deficit-oriented paradigm, which points towards individuals' deviation from neurotypical norms. Following the HRM process model, our study explored to what extent a strengths-based HRM approach to the identification, use, and development of strengths of neurodivergent groups is intended, implemented, and perceived in organizations. Thirty participants were interviewed, including HRM professionals (n=15), supervisors of neurodivergent employees (n=4), and neurodivergent employees (n=11). Our findings show that there is significant potential in embracing the strengths-based approach to promote neurodiversity-inclusion, for instance with the use of job crafting practices or (awareness) training to promote strengths use. Still, the acknowledgement of neurodivergent individuals' strengths in the workplace depends on the integration of the strengths-based approach into a supportive framework of HR practices related to strengths identification, use, and development. Here, particular attention should be dedicated to strengths development for neurodivergent employees (e.g., optimally balancing strengths use). By adopting the strengths-based HRM approach to neurodiversity as a means of challenging the ableist norms of organizations, we add to the HRM literature by contributing to the discussion on how both research and organizations can optimally support an increasingly diverse workforce by focusing on individual strengths

The article begins by defining digital transformation (DT), and then examines how organizations change during DT, before delving into the perspectives of malleable organization design and HRM. Finally, it concludes by identifying gaps in the literature and suggesting a research agenda for future. Overall, organizational factors that need more investigation are highlighted to tackle complexities of ODT for further research.

Introduction: Digital technologies , such as big AI and cloud computing are driving digital transformation (DT) in organizations. The World Economic Forum ( reports that over 75% of organizations plan to adopt these technologies within five years, leading to a skills disruption as employees lack the necessary skills for DT. HRM departments are responsible for preparing their workforce for DT through reand upskilling initiatives (Ivaldi et al., 2022; Vereycken et al., To adapt HRM’s strategic talent management for tailored re and upskilling, insight is needed in workforce DT skills mastery. The objective of this study is to develop a validated instrument for measuring workforce DT skills mastery, building upon the Digital Transformations Skills Framework ( (Bouwmans et al., 2022, 2024). The instrument is a self assessment tool, allowing individuals to evaluate their proficiency across various skill dimensions.

Dit artikel beschrijft een onderzoek naar werkzame elementen in de samenwerking binnen innovatieve leeromgevingen, professionele werkplaatsen (PW) genoemd. In PW werken onderwijs en beroepspraktijk samen aan complexe vraagstukken waarbij de ontwikkeling van betrokkenen en de innovatie van de beroepspraktijk centraal staan. Op basis van literatuuronderzoek, verkennende interviews met 11 sleutelfiguren en een meervoudige casestudie waarin vanuit 4 cases 75 betrokkenen participeerden, is het model Lerend en Onderzoekend Samenwerken in PW ontwikkeld. Het model omvat zes elementen en laat zien dat het lerend en onderzoekend samenwerken centraal staat in een PW en zich ontwikkelt binnen een grensoverstijgende en ontwikkelingsgerichte cultuur. Betrokkenen in een PW leren gezamenlijk doordat ze samenwerken in de dienstverlening en hierbij waarde hechten aan het delen van verschillende perspectieven. Door facilitering van mensen en middelen en door de samenwerking vorm te geven vanuit een gezamenlijke visie, kunnen betrokkenen elkaar leren kennen en afstemmen op welke manier zij samen kunnen bijdragen aan de innovatie van de beroepspraktijk. Hiervoor zijn zowel het opbouwen van relaties als het expliciteren en verdelen van taken en verantwoordelijkheden essentieel. Het model, dat een systemisch perspectief kent, biedt uitgangspunten en handvatten om de samenwerking binnen een PW te evalueren en te versterken.

To perform at top level, all systems within an organization need to be aligned. When body and mind aren’t connected, you can’t function well. In the same way that it is important to align the mind and the body, a promising business vision (the mind) will not have the expected result when executed without the alignment of all existing parts of the organization (the body). You have to choose how this vision will fit in. People will experience complexity when new references do not fit in with their existing references – hence, the need for taxonomy to connect the dots and internalize external references. The Company Reference Grid (CRG) is this taxonomy for enterprises and was originally designed by Frans van der Reep [1]. This extended alignment tool combines business, ICT, HRM, and operations from a strategic, entrepreneurial, and operational capabilities point of view.
