Recent fuseerden het Delftse sportevenementenbureau Shivers en het Haagse sportmarketingbureau SportVibes. Ze gaan verder onder de vlag van SportVibes United met als vestigingsplaatsen Den Haag en Delft. BVVS’er Imre van Leeuwen gaat samen met twee anderen de nieuwe organisatie aansturen. Hij wordt directeur Events. In het verleden was Shivers vooral een bureau voor sportevents. Het bureau is in 2006 ontstaan uit het internationale bureau Octagon CIS van Bob Verbeeck. Dat bedrijf veranderde in 2007 in Golazo Sports, Media, Entertainment, met nog steeds Verbeeck als eigenaar en directeur. Jan de Leeuw had een gesprek met Imre van Leeuwen.

Planning of transport through inland shipping is complex, highly dynamic and very specific. Existing software support is focusing on road transport planning and/or is merely a visual representation of shipments to be manually assigned to particular vessels. As a result inland shipment planning is time-consuming and highly relies on the personal skills of the planner. In this paper we present a business rules based model that aims to further support inland shipping organizations in their shipment planning by identifying the characteristics and constraints that are of interest and the related explicated business rules. The model is derived from transport-related literature, explorative expert interviews and transport management software vendors. The usability and applicability of the model is subsequently successfully empirically tested using identified performance measures through a case study at a major European inland shipping broker

Utrecht, The Netherlands. abstract Audit trail procedures are applied as a way to check the validity of qualitative research designs, qualitative analyses, and the claims that are made. Audit trail procedures can be conducted based on the three criteria of visibility, comprehensibility, and acceptability (Akkerman et al., 2008). During an audit trail procedure, all documents and materials resulting from the data gathering and the data analysis are assessed by an auditor. In this presentation, we presented a summative audit trail procedure (Agricola, Prins, Van der Schaaf & Van Tartwijk, 2021), whereas in a second study we used a formative one (Agricola, Van der Schaaf, Prins & Van Tartwijk, 2022). For both studies, two different auditors were chosen. For the study presented in Agricola et al. (2021) the auditor was one of the PhD supervisors, while in that presented Agricola et al. (2022) was a junior researcher not involved in the project. The first auditor had a high level of expertise in the study’s topic and methodology. As a result, he was able to provide a professional and critical assessment report. Although the second auditor might be considered to be more objective than the first, as she was not involved in the project, more meetings were needed to explain the aim of the study and the aim of the audit trail procedure. There are many ideas about the criteria that qualitative studies should meet (De Kleijn en Van Leeuwen, 2018). I argue that procedures of checking for interrater agreement and understanding, the triangulation, and audit trail procedures can increase the internal validity of qualitative studies. Agricola, B. Publicatie ter gelegenheid van het afscheid/pensioen van Henk van Leeuwen, docent Informatica en lector Ambient Intelligence bij het Saxion Kenniscentrum Design en Technologie. In deze uitgave kijkt Henk van Leeuwen, na een loopbaan van 40 jaar in het onderwijs, niet alleen terug op interessante zaken uit het verleden, maar onderkent hij ook welke drijvende krachten invloed hadden. Hierbij heeft Van Leeuwen niet gestreefd naar volledigheid. Het is een persoonlijke kijk, die berust op eigen ervaringen en die tot discussie kan prikkelen. Naast de vakinhoudelijke observaties neemt Van Leeuwen ook het hbo-informaticaonderwijs en het ICT-onderzoek onder de loep. Het begrip ‘sensing’ in de titel ’Sense and nonsense of sensing’ van deze uitgave heeft dan ook niet primair een technische betekenis. Sensing is in dit verband een manier van observeren, van snuffelen. In het ‘Informaticavak’ gebruiken we daar tal van sensoren voor. Over sensoren gaat het zeker, maar nog meer over zijn persoonlijk observeren, interpreteren van wat hij heeft opgemerkt en zijn reflectie daarop. Dat leidt tot uitspraken over zin en onzin, sense en nonsense, van wat Van Leeuwen waarneemt, nu en in het verleden. Van Leeuwen neemt de lezer mee in de ontwikkelingen van informatica zoals hij die heeft gezien en breng daarvan verslag uit. Daarbij stelt hij de vraag of we uit de lijnen die we zien in het verleden, ontwikkelingen voor de toekomst kunnen afleiden.

Dit samenvattende onderzoeksverslag richt zich op de inzichten die het meerjarige monitoronderzoek heeft opgeleverd over het proces van de studenten bij het doen van onderzoek in het kader van hun opleiding en de begeleidingsvraagstukken voor de lerarenopleiders die daarbij spelen. De resultaten van het onderzoek in 2011-2012 (Van Leeuwen, 2012) , van het onderzoek in 2012-3013 (Van Leeuwen, 2013) en van het onderzoek in 2013-2014, zijn meegenomen in dit samenvattende onderzoeksverslag. De onderzoeksverslagen van de studenten met opbrengsten over de positionering van het schoolvak in een beroepsopleiding, worden benut voor een separate rapportage over de beantwoording van deze inhoudelijke vraag. Hierna wordt de aanleiding van het onderzoek beschreven en worden de onderzoeksvragen en de aanpak van het evaluatieve onderzoek geformuleerd. The debate on the consolidating publishing industry has been arising in the last years due to the high-profit margins that the big publishing companies are earning (Larivière, Haustein, & Mongeon, 2015). After analysing roughly 45 million papers over the period 1973 –2013, research proofs that the academic publishing industry is shifting to an oligopoly with a few publishers who publish over 50% of all published papers (Larivière, Haustein, & Mongeon, 2015). Not only do these big publishers earn revenues from the backs of writers, sometimes they also possess the copyrights of the published articles. Since the introduction of the open-access movement, it is becoming more common for publishers to request the execution of the authors ' copyright, which will be claimed by the publisher after the publication of the article (RUG, 2021). As this movement is influencing the market, more writers are considering other options. Although some writers can accept that the only important factor of publishing papers is the increasing h-index, others prefer lucrative writing and maintaining the copyrights of their publications. To stimulate that the copyrights and earnings stay with the author of the publication, our client asked us to develop BlockPub.
