Dit rapport behandelt hoe in Nederland tot een meer integraal en gebalanceerde set keurmerken/labels (K&L) gekomen kan worden. Het schetst een routekaart (hierna te noemen “roadmap”) voor de primaire producenten van vlees in Nederland, hun consumenten(organisaties) en de overheid als facilitator. De proposities zijn onderbouwd d.m.v. onderzoeksactiviteiten van het project Duurzaam Vlees Natuurlijk!

Many honors educators have a need for evidence-based input and tools on how to plan their teaching and their interactions with honors students. At the same time, an increasing amount of research is available on the specific characteristics and needs of honors students and teaching. Connecting this need for professional input with the increasing quantity of research findings, however, remains a challenge. In this note, we provide a roadmap for translating educational research into an accessible product for educators from the start of a research project. We present our project as a case to illustrate the roadmap. In the project, our research results have been translated into an e-module to allow for professionalization among honors educators in higher education.

Evenementen en Festivals zijn voor steden tegenwoordig serious business. Ze zijn bepalend voor het imago van de organiserende stad en ze trekken honderdduizenden bezoekers, voor wie het soms een eerste kennismaking met de stad betekent. Zo ook voor de gemeente Den Haag die haar evenementen prominent inzet als stedelijk marketinginstrument. Daarnaast zorgen evenementen jaarlijks voor enkele miljoenen euro's aan omzet en dus ook voor werkgelegenheid in de stad. De gemeente Den Haag wil weten of haar evenementen milieubewuster kunnen en is op zoek naar praktische mogelijkheden. Tegelijkertijd staat het behoud en de stimulering van evenementen hoog in het vaandel. Daarom heeft wethouder Duurzaamheid, de heer R. Smits aan de Haagse Hogeschool gevraagd een 'Roadmap' voor Green Events op te stellen. Dit in het kader van het 'Partnership Duurzame Transitie Den Haag' De Haagse Hogeschool heeft, ter aanvulling van de eigen expertise, advies- en ingenieursbureau DHV ingeschakeld om de vraag van de gemeente Den Haag te beantwoorden. Een 'Green Event' is een evenement met een uitgekiend milieuplan. Daarbij gaat het om mogelijke maatregelen op het gebied van watergebruik, energie, mobiliteit (hoe komen en gaan de bezoekers) en afval. De Kernvraag van het onderzoek is: Hoe kan op efficiënte en evenementvriendelijke manier een 'vergroening' van de Haagse evenementen worden doorgevoerd?

Author supplied from the article: ABSTRACT Increasing global competition in manufacturing technology puts pressure on lead times for product design and production engineering. By the application of effective methods for systems engineering (engineering design), the development risks can be addressed in a structured manner to minimise chances of delay and guarantee timely market introduction. Concurrent design has proven to be effective in markets for high tech systems; the product and its manufacturing means are simultaneously developed starting at the product definition. Unfortunately, not many systems engineering methodologies do support development well in the early stage of the project where proof of concept is still under investigation. The number of practically applicable tools in this stage is even worse. Industry could use a systems engineering method that combines a structured risk approach, concurrent development, and especially enables application in the early stage of product and equipment design. The belief is that Axiomatic Design can provide with a solid foundation for this need. This paper proposes a ‘Constituent Roadmap of Product Design’, based on the axiomatic design methodology. It offers easy access to a broad range of users, experienced and inexperienced. First, it has the ability to evaluate if knowledge application to a design is relevant and complete. Secondly, it offers more detail within the satisfaction interval of the independence axiom. The constituent roadmap is based on recent work that discloses an analysis on information in axiomatic design. The analysis enables better differentiation on project progression in the conceptual stage of design. The constituent roadmap integrates axiomatic design and the methods that harmonise with it. Hence, it does not jeopardise the effectiveness of the methodology. An important feature is the check matrix, a low threshold interface that unlocks the methodology to a larger audience. Geospatial technologies have the potential to transform the lives of older adults by providing them with necessary tools to navigate their local communities, access services, connect with others, and access valuable information. However, the usability and accessibility of such technologies often fall short of the needs of older adults. Many existing geospatial tools are not designed with the needs and preferences of older adults in mind; this can lead to usability challenges and limit their usage. This paper explores a participatory approach in developing an inclusive geodata-collection tool that is specifically tailored to older users’ needs. The paper also highlights the importance of incorporating user-centered design principles, participatory design methods, and accessibility guidelines throughout the entire geodata-tool-development process. It also emphasizes the need for ongoing user engagement and feedback in order to ensure that the tool remains relevant and usable in the evolving digital landscape. This participatory approach has resulted in a tool that is easy to use and accessible for older adults; it is available in various languages, thus ensuring that the elderly can actively participate in the prototype’s creation and contribute to the collection of the geospatial information that reflects their lived experiences and needs.
