Within NHL Stenden University of Applied Science, a choice for a new virtual learning environment was made in mid-2021, primarily on policy and management grounds. Early in the migration process, it became clear that this approach could perturb the further rollout of the Design-Based Education (DBE, https://edu.nl/mwp8j) educational concept. Four templates were developed to intertwine technological and educational processes that structure different ways of "blended" learning and teaching within DBE. Initial user experiences show that the templates’ structures help teachers reconsider online learning activities to shape and facilitate blended DBE learning processes.

Dankzij internet vinden individuen met specifieke competenties elkaar, en komen vraag en aanbod goedkoper samen dan vroeger. Mensen organiseren hun leven via netwerken. Abstracter gezegd: er is een trend om zich meer 'softwarematig', en niet meer 'hardwarematig' te organiseren. Onafhankelijk van bestaande structuren en systemen, in een digitale wereld. Dat zie je niet alleen in de ICT-sector, maar ook in bedrijven met -bijvoorbeeld virtuele teams. Bedrijven organiseren hun competenties niet alleen meer in vaste structuren, maar gebruiken alle aanwezige kennis waar en wanneer nodig. De groei van e-business betekent dat bedrijven verhuizen van fysieke winkels op fysieke A1-locaties naar virtuele winkels op virtuele A1-aanwezigheid. Ze gebruiken slimme advertentiemogelijkheden, zoals, 'context-advertising' met zoekwoorden op Google.

This article focuses on improving the instructional quality of student teachers in elementary education. We developed a coaching approach involving classroom observation and appropriate lesson preparation and feedback templates. Using an untreated control group design with pre-test and posttest (n = 198), we answered the question ‘whether student teachers who learned to teach with the new coaching approach achieved a higher level of pedagogical and didactical teaching skills compared to student teachers who did not receive this approach’. The effect variable used was the observation instrument ICALT. We compared the average scores of the control group and the experimental group on the posttest (ANCOVA). The differences found on the posttest, after controlling for the confounding variables, were significant on all ICALT scales. These effect sizes are medium on the scales; ‘Safe climate’ and ‘Clear instruction’ and large on the scales; ‘Classroom management’ ‘Activating pupils’ ‘Adaptive teaching’ and ‘Teaching learning strategies’.

This paper describes the work that is done by a group of I3 students at Philips CFT in Eindhoven, Netherlands. I3 is an initiative of Fontys University of Professional Education also located in Eindhoven. The work focuses on the use of computer vision in motion control. Experiments are done with several techniques for object recognition and tracking, and with the guidance of a robot movement by means of computer vision. These experiments involve detection of coloured objects, object detection based on specific features, template matching with automatically generated templates, and interaction of a robot with a physical object that is viewed by a camera mounted on the robot.
