De hoeveelheid beweging onder basisschool kinderen loopt terug, ook in Brabant. De basisschool is bij uitstek geschikt om hierin een duurzame verandering te bewerkstelligen. Fontys Sporthogeschool in samenwerking met de Provincie Noord-Brabant en de gemeenten Eindhoven, Tilburg, Breda, Den Bosch en Helmond, met ondersteuning van Het Nederlands Instituut voor Sport en Bewegen (NISB), hebben daarom de handen ineen geslagen en het project Brabantse Basisscholen in Beweging opgezet. Dit ambitieuze project, dat in augustus 2012 van start is gegaan, is ingezet voor 4 jaar. Het project zal op verschillende scholen in de vijf bovengenoemde steden gaan draaien.

In september 2013 is het project Brabantse Basisscholen in Beweging van start gegaan. Een samenwerking tussen Fontys Sporthogeschool, de provincie Noord-Brabant en de steden Eindhoven, Tilburg, Helmond, Den Bosch en Breda. Doel van het project is het vergroten van beweegkansen vanuit de schoolomgeving voor leerlingen op de basisschool. Tegelijkertijd biedt het project echter ook een groot aantal betekenisvolle en contextrijke stageplekken voor studenten HBO en WO, bijvoorbeeld als combinatiefunctionaris of als onderzoeker.

Many cities and regions that are faced with growing tourism are looking for tools that can help them manage visitors and visitor flows and the consequent impacts on liveability. In this process, it is of crucial importance to have an as accurate and real-time (or predictive) as possible insight into visitor volumes, visitor flows and visitor impacts, as well as an insight into perceptions and sentiments among both visitors and residents.In the tools already available for this purpose, very limited use of (big) data is made. Although these sources may potentially offer many useful insights, accessing them or using them effectively turns out to be difficult due to a lack of understanding of the (im)possibilities of data, the practical requirements and the costs.In this project we want to obtain an insight into the measurement methods that are available in order to develop tourism policy in Etten-Leur on the basis of the insights to be gained from the data. With this approach, the research partners aim to develop a dashboard that can also be used in other situations, nationally and internationally.Partners: VisitBrabant, Van Gogh Sites Foundation, Van Gogh Kerk Etten-Leur, Gemeente Etten-Leur.
