In het najaar van 2010 is door het Kenniscentrum Gebiedsontwikkeling NoorderRuimte (Hanzehogeschool Groningen) onderzoek gedaan naar de leefomgeving van het dorp Houwerzijl. Opdrachtgever voor het onderzoek was de gemeente De Marne en direct belanghebbende bij het onderzoek is de Vereniging Dorpsbelangen Houwerzijl. De Vereniging Dorpsbelangen Houwerzijl heeft het voornemen om een dorpsvisie voor Houwerzijl op te stellen. Hiervoor is het nodig om de mening van de inwoners over de leefomgeving van Houwerzijl te kennen.

De gemeente De Marne heeft het Atelier Mens & Omgeving van de Hanzehogeschool Groningen gevraagd onderzoek te doen naar kwaliteiten van de leefomgeving in het dorp Ulrum. De gemeente wil beter zicht krijgen op de gevolgen van de bevolkingsdaling en zoekt mogelijkheden om de kwaliteit van de leefomgeving in haar kernen op peil te houden. In de periode februari – juni 2010 hebben vijf studenten vanuit verschillende disciplines onderzoek gedaan in Ulrum. In dit rapport zijn de belangrijkste resultaten en conclusies van deze onderzoeken weergegeven.

Full text via link. In 2013 is de landelijke PvdA-werkgroep Sport opgericht. Doel van dit netwerk is om binnen de partij - zowel landelijk als lokaal - aandacht voor de waarde van sport voor de samenleving te vergroten en versterken. Eind 2013 formuleerde de werkgroep een visie over de waarde van sport voor het realiseren van een sterk en sociaal Nederland. Tevens is er op het partijcongres een discussiebijeenkomst georganiseerd met raadsleden, wethouders en leden van lokale afdelingen. Wij - allebei lid van het netwerk - bekeken daarvoor 16 lokale PvdA-verkiezingsprogramma’s en analyseerden welke plek sport daarin inneemt.

The purpose of this literature study was to obtain an overview of previous civic literacy projects and their characteristics as primarily described in educational science literature. Eighteen academic articles on civic literacy projects in higher education were studied in detail and coded using the qualitative data analysis instrument, Atlas.ti. The codes and quotations compiled were then divided in various categories and represented in a two-axis model. The definitions of ‘civic literacy’ found in the literature varied from an interest in social issues and a critical attitude to a more activist attitude (axis number 1). The analysis of the literature showed that, especially in more recent years, more students than citizens have benefited from civic literacy projects in higher education (axis number 2). The visualization of the findings in the two-axis model helps to place civic literacy projects in a broader frame. Symposiumbijdrage conferentie EARLI SIG 14, 11-14 september 2018, Genève Learning across the contexts of school and the workplace is highly relevant to the VET-sector. This contribution analyses these cross-contextual learning processes with three key issues in mind: (1) guidance by vocational educators, (2) assessment of students’ development and (3) design of VET-learning environments. Guidance, assessment and overarching VET-curriculum designs form the basis for constructive alignment as an approach to optimize conditions for high quality cross-contextual learning processes. We used the theoretical framework of boundary crossing to clarify the complex, multilevel nature of these key issues.

Posterbijdrage conferentie EARLI SIG 14, 11-14 september 2018, Genève Although literature shows the important supportive role of experienced colleagues to stimulate novices’ workplace learning, the question of how this support is provided is usually answered in general terms (e.g. Mikkonen et al. 2017; Tynjälä 2008). Therefore, this study aims to explore how members of vocational communities, both individually and as a collective, enact specific pedagogic practices to contribute to novices’ learning. The systematic literature review that will be presented in the interactive poster session is the first study of a PhD project and provides an overview of situational pedagogic practices which attempt to support novices’ learning at the workplace.
