Lecturer/researcher
Maria Kapteijns is a researcher at the Lectorate Coordination of Urban Issues at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS). Her research work focuses on public governance of urban issues, with a focus on the relationship between citizens and public professionals in themes such as citizen councils or 'burgerberaden' and processes of learning within governmental organisations.
Maria has a BA in Philosophy (University of Amsterdam, cum laude), and a Master in Political Science (University of Amsterdam, cum laude).
